Thecopus secunda (Ridl.)Seidenf. 1984


Synonyms: Thecostele secunda Ridl. 1895
Found in Peninsular Malaysia and Kalimantan in lowland and lower montane forests at elevations of 20 to 600 meters. (I found it myself at elevation 20-40 meters)
Clustered, ovoid to ellipdsoidal, compressed, pseudobulbs. Carrying a single, apical, thinly to elliptic-obovate leaf.
Flower Stalk: 15 to 40 cm long, branching inflorescence arising from the base of the mature pseudobulbs.
Flower: 8 to 20 flowers, 3 cm broad, green with brown stripe on petals and sepals.



Bahasa Indonesia:
Ditemukan di Semenanjung Malaysia dan Kalimantan di hutan dataran rendah dan pegunungan rendah, pada ketinggian 20 hingga 600 meter dari permukaan laut. (saya sendiri menemukannya pada ketinggian 20 - 40 meter dari permukaan laut).
Umbi semu bergerombol, berbentuk agak pipih bulat telur hingga ellipdsoidal. Terdapat 1 hingga 2 daun, pada titik ujung tumbuh tanaman, tipis hingga elips-bulat telur terbalik.
Tangkai bunga: panjang 15 - 40 cm, perbungaan bercabang yang muncul dari dasar umbi semu dewasa.
Bunga: 6 - 20 kuntum, lingkar bunga 3 cm, berwarna hijau dengan garis coklat pada mahkota dan kelopaknya.

Synonyms: Collabium annamense Gagnep. 1950; Collabium wrayi Hook. f. 1890; *Cymbidium alatum Roxb. 1832; Pholidota elmeri Ames 1912; Thecostele elmeri (Ames) Ames 1952; Thecostele maculosa Ridl. 1893 ; Thecostele poilanei Gagnep. 1931; Thecostele wrayi (Hook. f.) Rolfe 1912; Thecostele zollingeri Rchb. f. 1857
Found in Bangladesh, Myanamar, Thailand, Malayasia, Laos, Vietnam, Kalimantan, Java, Sumatra and the Philippines in lowland and lower montane forests at elevations of sealevel to 1800 meters.
Clustered, ovoid to ellipdsoidal, compressed, pseudobulbs. Carrying a single, apical, thinly to elliptic-obovate leaf
Flower Stalk: 20 to 50 cm long, slender, branching inflorescence arising from the base of the mature pseudobulbs.
Physical plant is similar to Thecopus secunda.
Flower: 15 to 40 flowers, 2 cm broad, white with dark crimson blotches.
